You will be working as Technical Support Specialist and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Support Manager and will be responsible for supporting ABB’s Process Automation channel partners on all presales Technical Support, training and aftersales Technical Support aspects.
Your responsibilities
- Supporting pre-bid technical queries, advising best-fit solution, product positioning, technical queries on system capabilities, limitations, licensing, lifecycle status, etc. and to validate solutions, BOM generated by partners, before order is placed
- Leading technical discussions along with partners, customers on ABB control system products and industry specific solutions such as batch management solutions, water solutions, etc., and own the offered solution
- Supporting partners with both, sales and customized technical or hands-on engineering trainings on products and solutions offered
- Providing technical guidance to new partners on initial system configurations, controller configurations, graphic configurations, system sizing (servers or workstations or switches), etc
- Assisting partners, to the extent remotely possible, taking accountability of the Product related technical issue & resolution of the same
- Connecting with Product Managers and L3 team on product related issues on an ongoing partner project and leading the follow-up of issue resolution with L3 team, in cases where there’s no local partner support team in LD’s
Your background
- BE or B Tech in Engineering
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in batch management applications, water solutions and exposure to digital offerings in OT space
- Hands-on project engineering experience with ABB control system products either in system 800xA, S+ SCADA, freelance DCS
- Having international exposure, handling customer or channel partner support roles, is a plus
