The Customer Support Specialist is the first point of contact for products/systems/services customers and business partners of the Electrification Installation Products, Local Front End Sales in Memphis, TN.Manage assigned accounts from initial request of the customer to final invoice and after sale support to meet the goals and expectations of the business and the customer.

Your responsibilities
- To be the main point of contact for field sales representatives as the liaison for all order management functions related to after sale of order
- Responsible for assisting with(forecast) orders for key accounts
- Responsible for handling storm orders, which may include after-hours on-call availability
- Review and expedite over-due lines via weekly open order report and working directly with the plants to ensure timely and accurate shipments
- Initiate the Engineering Feasibility Request (EFR’s) and follow-through of Engineering Service Requests (ESR’s)
- Help with submittal of catalog request through the configurator system
- Work with Tech support for substitute or clarify the description and catalog request
Your background
- Four year Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience
- 5 plus years of experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing and or utility industry
- Basic understanding of the business processes involved in the selling of products from initial pricing inquiry to final invoice and after sale support
- Basic understanding of sales channel strategy
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem- solving skills
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent applications
- Above average spreadsheet and database skills
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
