We are looking for Global Head of Claims (m/f/d), based in Munich, London, or Zurich.

Your Team

In the Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) Line of Business (LoB), we are committed to creating innovative tailored insurance, reinsurance, and other non-traditional risk management solutions for a range of corporate and financial clients globally. We specialize in helping clients mitigate their most complex risks with custom multiyear and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in Alternative Risk Transfer and the global capabilities of Allianz.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Global Head of ART LoB, with a matrix into the Global Claims team, you will develop and execute the Global LoB Claims strategy to meet the requirements of clients and Allianz Commercial, while supporting the growth plans of ART.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Lead and manage the Global claims team, including the interaction with claims experts within the wider Allianz Commercial and third-party service providers.
• Ensure an efficient and effective Global claim handling process, considering the global, multi-line, complex and diverse nature of our transactions.
• Drive continuous improvement of the claims systems, within the Allianz Commercial systems landscape.
• Ensure high quality claims data and reporting to monitor and steer the Claims activity, as well as provide input into new business development and underwriting.
• Foster collaboration across functions within the LoB and Allianz Commercial to optimize knowledge sharing and ability to act quickly on trends.
• Represent claims as a differentiator in client and broker meetings.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Proven track record in a global team leadership role in Claims, with extensive knowledge of Claims in different countries and lines of business.
• Experience of developing claims processes in a dynamic, changing environment.
• Extensive experience of Claims systems, data and reporting for monitoring, steering and feedback to other functions.
• Significant experience working in a complex, global matrix organization.
• Strong track record of collaboration across functions.
• Strong communication skills - ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
• Problem solving mindset, comfortable developing solutions to new challenges or situations.
• Fluent in English and ideally additional language skills.
