Working in Trading & Origination (T&O)
Trading & Origination is Statkraft’s central commercial unit for proprietary trading of standard and origination of non-standard energy related products. The unit assumes the role of a market integrator for third party renewable and flexible assets encompassing the supply of power and green solutions to customers in Europe and in the US. Our Trading teams engage in standardised and customised contracts for power, gas and oil, and our Origination teams help supply customers with a broad range of tailor-made solutions and services for utilities and industrial purposes.
Your internship will be in the centre of the front-office activities and you will be given responsibility from day one. Over the course of your internship you will become familiar with many aspects of the trading business. Our interns are highly valuable members of our teams and you will actively contribute to the further development and growth of Statkraft Markets.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
- Supporting the Trading Business Manager with the creation and maintenance of the department’s roadmap
- Developing a business intranet for the department’s employees
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on department costs
- Supporting the Trading Business Manager with day-to-day activities
- Building relationships and aligning process within the trading department and beyond
- Studying towards a degree in Business IT, Economics, Business Administration
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong motivation and proactiveness
- Excellent written and spoken English, German language is advantageous
