Your role
We are looking for a Team Assistant who will be a core part of our growing team. Your support will be essential in our quest to fulfill our vision for a more sustainable world. You apply your superior organizational and people skills to create a fantastic working atmosphere for everyone at Cambrium. You stay on top of daily tasks and manage logistics to make sure the company runs well and everyone is happy. This role is about being a trusted point of contact for the entire organization and our network, through big and small tasks.
What you can expect to do:
- Organization: Provide active support of team culture and team spirit, internal team events, and social space.
- Management Support: Assist in the areas of (preparatory) payroll and financial accounting.
- Recruiting: Recruit and retain key talent, and share the responsibility to get the best talent for key positions. You support with hiring, onboarding, and setting up processes.
- Coordination of service providers: Placing and managing orders with partners and suppliers, e.g. for equipment deliveries, food and beverages, employee/staff onboarding, etc.
- Office Management: Manage our modern office in Berlin Mitte to create a great work atmosphere.
- Relevant work experience in a similar role (e.g. personal / team assistant)
- Experience working in an international organization is desirable
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize appropriately and effectively
- Eagerness to learn quickly, willingness to take responsibility, and the ability to achieve goals collaboratively
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Tools (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar)
- Business-fluent English and German skills
- Passionate about Cambrium’s mission, sustainability and excited to learn more about the field of synthetic biology
