As a Senior/ Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing after sales business activity, provide technical support, solve customer problem and archive good customer satisfaction. Reporting to Service Manager, you will be coordinating with operation supervisors for optimal service potentials from regular customer interactions.This position is based in Singapore.
Your responsibilities
- Executing variable speed drive after sales business activity including inspection, preventive and condition-based maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and commissioning. May require some knowledge and hands-on servicing on the motor/generator
- Maintaining high level of personal leadership on safety and quality on work performed as well as documentations
- Reporting early any technical/contract/quality/program/cost issues to management, along with recommendations for resolution
- Involving in self-learning and practical exposure for continuous competence and productivity improvement
- Understanding customer needs and managing customer relationships. Cooperating actively with other ABB units to achieve common targets
- Providing leadership and coordination for the service team. Creating and developing good team spirit
- Identifying area of improvement e.g., self-technical knowledge, job safety etc. Participating in discussion, meeting, training and e-learning
- Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Reporting unsafe practices and incidents
Your background
- Diploma, ITC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering with at least 3-5 years hands on repair and service experience on electrical equipment
- Knowledge and hand-on experience on Low Voltage and Medium Voltage VFD, or motors will be an advantage
- Strong electrical or electronics engineering fundamental knowledge. Knowledge on theory, structure, application, testing methodology and component fault diagnosis/analysis will be added advantage
- Strong self-discipline with initiative and learning spirit with positive attitude, teamwork and responsibility
- Effective spoken and written communication in English
