Senior ESG Analyst (80 - 100%)

Your tasks:

• Ownership of the review and analysis of pre-filled sustainability profiles of listed companies.
• Validate ESG impact ratings in accordance with the internally developed methodology for assessing listed companies on their sustainability performance.
• Propose and perform diverse quality assurance tasks and drive new initiatives with our data provider.
• Conduct ESG assessment based on primary and secondary data, identify relevant controversies in company analysis and maintain sectors ESG analysis reports.
• Coordinate a sub-team of Junior ESG analysts and mid-level research analysts based in India.
• Actively support the further development of the methodology and drive new projects.
• Contact person for clients queries related to the methodology or the sector specific ratings.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher in a sustainability related field, ideally in environmental sciences, social or in economic sciences, banking and finance or similar.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position or in the field of sustainability, ideally in combination with experience in financial markets and with reporting standards.
• Relevant work experience in specific sectors such as energy, health, transportation or financial. Self-motivation, strongly analytical as well as entrepreneurial thinking, solution oriented coupled with a high degree of independence and willingness for above-average commitment.
• Project manager skills as an advantage.
• Excellent oral and written skills in English, German and any other language as an advantage.
