Gen Re currently offers an excellent opportunity for Senior Data Analyst Architectto work in the Global IT Services unit based in our Stamford, CT office or performed remotely (EST working hours) for appropriately qualified individual within Global IT Services.

Role Description

• Collaborate with an agile DevOps development team responsible for Data Engineering in a Big Data Environment
• Collaborate with Business Users and Business Analysts to understand requirements
• Responsible for aligning the business requirement to the Gen Re Common Data Model
  
• Responsible for user story technical and integration test documentation
  
• Responsible for communicating solution design to technical, business and management audiences
  
• Contribute to user story solution design
  
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of the Common Data Model
  
• Contribute to modeling, lineage, data privacy and team wiki documentation
• Support the Product Owner in framing the agile team’s backlog
  
• Support Report Developers using the Common Data Model
  
• Support User Acceptance Testing
  
• Support Data Owners and Data Stewards as required

The candidate must be highly collaborative, organized, and analytical, and is expected to partner effectively with other teams within IT, business, and service units on an ongoing basis.

Role Qualifications and Experience

• 7+ years hands on experience as a Systems Analyst
• 7+ years hands on experience as a Data Modeler
  
• 2+ years working with cloud solutions
  
• 2+ years working within an agile team
  
• 2+ years experience working for a global insurance, reinsurance or financial organization
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
  
• Ability to deliver quality design and documentation to agreed timelines
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Attention to detail and structure
• Ability to prepare presentations and other communication material for a varied audiences
• Exposure to the architecture discipline (e.g. TOGAF)
• Exposure to Power BI, SSAS, SSQL, ELT/ETL and Analysis tools

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, a science or engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Salary Range

91,000.00 - 152,000.00 USD

The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
