Job Purpose and key highlights:

• Provide best in class sourcing expertise within the Global IT Software Category within Corporate Procurement to all DPDHL Business Units, aligning sourcing strategies and liaising with customers.
• Build & nurture key account relationships of core Suppliers to DPDHL including some of the largest and most valuable companies in the world.
• Reporting directly in to the VP, Head of IT Software Sourcing.
• Individually account manage sourcing processes for individual projects with an average spend of €10M-€100M
• Category spend volume:  in excess of €400M

Your main tasks will be:

• Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of global or regional frame contracts
• Identify and secure sourcing opportunities and assist in the development of supplier relationships
• Integrate Procurement into business planning and thinking vie effective influencing skills
• Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
• Project Management of new  assignments
• Apply standard Category  engagement blueprint to new and existing Business Units
• Manage initial sourcing engagement and identify customer specific challenges
• Document and align with counterpart process layout and timelines as directed by HOP EMEA
• Coaching of Business colleagues during sourcing lifecycle
• Best practice management
• Support development of IT Sourcing as a dedicated and sustainable product within GBS procurement
• Share best practices within GBS procurement
• Acting as a role model to the IT Software & wider IT Sourcing community
• Define minimum standards to ensure required compliance regulations are adhered to, including respective governance and risk management implications
• Project monitoring & management
• Understand business values of all engagements with customers (gain share, management fee, consultancy fee …)
• Participate in  large-scale (Focus Plus) projects with consultative problem-solving in project management
• E2E Management of Sourcing Initiatives including regular reporting into C-Level touchpoints
• Provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/ new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed
• Be an interactive and participative team member within the IT Software Sourcing community

Your profile should look like:

• Relevant university degree (Bachelor or Higher) and/or equivalent experience
• English language skills + German language an advantage
• More than 5 years of relevant procurement experience
• Advanced Experience and understanding of IT Software & Software Licensing
• Understanding of working in a complex, multi-function environment and managing a team of participants from these functions
• Ability to manage complex projects under significant time pressure
• Passionate to work in very agile environments and ability to adjust to changing environments
• High degree of customer orientation
• Ability to “sell” Procurement services to both internal and external stakeholders within dynamic situations, focusing on finding best possible solutions to drive projects successfully
• Advanced analytical and negotiating skills
• Passionately driving own ideas and convincing people
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
