You will be working as Sales Specialist and will be the part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Product Marketing Manager and will be responsible to implement Product Marketing strategies in assigned areas, support the sales organization in driving sales and services of respective products, through analyzing markets, marketing intelligence, product positioning, determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the sales teams. Serve as a key technical resource in the assigned areas, seek to understand the way our customers view their business and develop insights to integrate ABB Ability™ products and services into their low voltage power distribution networks.
Your responsibilities
- Formulating, developing and implementing targeted strategies, creating detailed business plans for assigned regions/areas in collaboration with front end sales and Product Marketing management, developing and articulating strategies to assist customers in turning data insights into physical world applications
- Supporting the front-end sales organization in becoming true advocates in the communication, promotion and training of smart power/building and ABB Ability™ products and services, taking part as a technical expert in customer meetings and in promotional events
- Promoting and demonstrating unique technical features and influencing specifications, running training for customers, external and internal business partners, supporting fast and successfully quality cases issues with feeder factories product management and supporting team
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensuring that they are communicated and implemented within all activities, continuously conducting analysis of competitors containing information about the competitor’s business organization, the most important customers, product portfolio, pricing, profitability (including history) and marketing strategy
- Periodically analyzing the product portfolio’s profitability in both the short term (1-3 years) and the long term (3-5 years) to ensure a profitable growth and competitive price level, initiating benchmarking internally as well as externally regarding pricing strategy in each market and/or sales channel and/or product
- Responsibility for product releases and product approvals, and that the phasing in (or phasing out as it may be) of new and old products is properly implemented and in line with the products’ life cycle management
- Ensuring the realization, development and adaptation of marketing and sales tools for a product or systems, positioning the product in local environment, ensuring that the sales organization has access to appropriate tools for dimensioning and specification of products and systems
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Power Engineering
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in sales and marketing experience in energy management, renewable energy and/or low voltage power distribution products/systems
- Practical experience in the field of electrical power, ability to engage with and explain new software and technologies quickly and effectively
- Fluency in English language is mandatory
