As a Information Services Manager SAP Basis Manager, need to work closely with internal and external support teams to guide SAP Basis teams to successful project initiatives. This role entails managing minor enhancements through major multi-year initiatives, in addition to providing leadership to SAP Basis Administration teams.

Your responsibilities

• Information and Technology: Oversee all aspects of a large landscape of SAP Systems. Direct Architecture and design for new and existing SAP and related applications. Organize SAP Basis teams to provide support for critical SAP business systems, meeting service level requirements
• Support ABB business goals for computer system availability and performance guidelines, ensuring that performance metric baselines are achieved
• Ensure that teams follow and support business requirements related to compliance and internal controls
• Support and guide integration of SAP systems to critical business systems
• Foster and build team cohesiveness, unity and trust
• Support and encourage documentation of and sharing technical solutions
• Communicate technical topics and proposals in relative business language
• Stakeholder Management: Manages relationships with stakeholders, in both IS and the business, to define solutions and ensure alignment
• Builds effective two-way communication to understand and manage expectations / requirements and gathers feedback to continually improve systems and maintain customer satisfaction
• Strategy: Keeps up to date and informed of any change, or planned change, of the ABB
• Corporate IS Enterprise Architecture and ABB IS Strategy
• Keeps abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and developments, including changes in business processes
• Governance, IS Compliance: Adherence to Corporate IS Policies and Procedures, as well as to both internal regulations and external legislation falls within the area of responsibility of this job
• Provide direction and support for team members to successfully fulfill IS compliance, security, and IS policies

Your background

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study
• Minimum of 10 years experience supporting business enterprise systems
• Minimum of 15 years experience working with SAP
• In depth understanding of Basis Administration of SAP ABAP and J2EE systems
• Experience with On premise to Cloud migrations
• Experience with HANA migrations
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
