Your responsibilities
- Act as a senior point of contact to support Uniper's Engineering within new green Power & Gas business with full project life cycle consultancy and support for the early establishment of effective engineering delivery strategies, especially the successful translation of Uniper’s Technical Quality standards into high quality specification and contracts for (inter-)national green transformation projects
- Lead the development of our Engineering function from "service provider” to "technical partner” by driving Quality Assurance for engineering, technical specifications & Contracts; lead the value engineering processes & deliver hands-on support for the implementation of improvement measures within strategic projects in close alignment with project management
- Advise project management & support functions in commercial & contract risk identification & develop contractual risk mitigation strategies towards customers, JVs and suppliers in design phase; if required, deliver contract & claim management in development
- Lead and/or support initiatives in Growth Engineering to implement strategy, e.g. Capability Management, future project execution models, "safety by design”
- Establish effective ways of working with key stakeholders along the project value stream; drive OneTeam approach in day-to-day project development incl. engineering contractors/partners
- Support Head of Proposal & Supplier Management in establishing a sustainable performance culture, e.g., through the implementation and ownership of program steering meetings with technical focus (incl. budgets, resources) within Growth Engineering & with key stakeholders; support the use of digital tools
- Actively contribute to a "beyond zero” and "psychological safety” culture in the team and department (our people, our assets, our environment); act as a role model
Your profile
- Degree-level education (Bachelor-, Master of Science degree or equivalent) in engineering, business administration, economics or law; 5 years working experience
- Substantial experience with Technical Quality specifications & contract management / risk (technical, commercial, administration, legal, etc.) for national and international customer projects of the power generation industry or the gas & oil industry
- Experience in project management, engineering processes and disciplines and/or asset operation & management
- Experience in proposal management or procurement (either technical or commercial side) and customer/supplier relations
- Well-developed communication skills and track-record in driving improvement and strategic initiatives & cross-functional collaboration; can manage senior project stakeholder expectations and conflicts
- Willingness to travel to other locations outside home-country (10%)
- Fluent English and German as a prerequisite, additional languages welcome
