Job Purpose:
Develop and administer various HR processes and policies by providing day-to-day HR support and solutions to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain employees to achieve business objectives in line with business needs, overarching HR plans/ policies, best practices and current legislation.
Your tasks:
- Working closely with GBS Service Lines and others, primarily in a consultancy role, assist line managers to understand and implement HR policies and procedures
- Undertake a broad range of HR work spanning across employee lifecycle - sometimes complex and non-routine requiring background research e.g. providing legal advice, analyzing data trends
- Support managers with hiring process, contracts and on boarding new employees
- Facilitate delivery of employee development needs and drive employee career development programs
- Conduct reviews, preparatory talks with managers in line with defined Performance Management process
- Keep up-to-date with latest development in HR industry and labor legislation
- Enhance awareness and compliance with company policies/ and procedures and legal requirements/ regulations
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization
- Attend Service Line Leadership Meetings when appropriate for respective service lines
- Cooperate closely with other HR functions (such as Comp & Ben, L&D) regarding new employees joining DHL GBS (UK) Ltd
- Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, in conjunction with the Compensation & Benefits Manager and Head of HR, including promotion and benefits
- Support Head of HR and Compensation & Benefits Manager on activities related to changes on conditions for existing employees (amendments to contracts, agreements etc.)
- Case management, managing grievance and disciplinary procedures and absence management cases
Your profile:
- HR Generalist experience – essential
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or an HR certification.
- More than 4 years of experience in a similar position
- Exposure across all key aspects of HR processes including Talent, C&B, ER/IR etc.
- Business understanding
- Proven experience of building & maintaining relationships
- Proven experience of delivery of organizational change projects
