BritNed is the owner and operator of the 1GW subsea Interconnector between NL and GB. We are an international organisation within the TenneT Holding combining innovative technical and commercial expertise. They work as one team with one vision joining the expertise of both TenneT and National Grid.The Commercial Data Analyst works in our Customer and Markets team and is involved in a broad range of activities to support our continuous business within the following areas:

• Development of new commercial concepts or guide changes of existing concepts;
• Develop business processes for auction management and other crucial revenue functions of the business;
• Monitoring our current and future commercial costs and risks and propose improvement measures to asset handling and commercial procedures;
• Participate in (IT and business process related) implementation projects;
• Organise internal and external training;
• Be part of the further digitalisation and BI driven automation efforts of BritNed
• The successful applicant will also go on call one week in four and will be part of the team that responds in the event that the interconnector fails to limit commercial imbalance exposures.

Your profile and background

• This position requires an academic working and thinking level and a relevant university degree in business economics, informatics, mathematics, electrical engineering (or similar field)
• Coding and data science skills are a benefit (We use Python and Google Cloud functions)
• Good analytical skills, transforming data into information
• An understanding of electricity markets concepts and electricity trading and general commercial affinity are a benefit
• You show independence, initiative, and the ability to work in a team. This is for you just as natural as strong communication skills and very good English skills
