Job Requirements

Exciting opportunity for an energetic sales professional in the Santa Monica market who can appreciate representing an upscale, luxurious hotel. Hilton Santa Monica Hotel & Suites is searching for an experienced & dynamic Associate Director of Sales, to represent the hotel. Must have a proven track record that demonstrates passion & ability to drive revenue to meet financial goals. Business Travel Sales and group sales knowledge preferred. 

In the heart of Santa Monica, just a short walk from the pier, you will find the newly renovated and rebranded Hilton Santa Monica Hotel & Suites. This Santa Monica hotel is three blocks away from the beach, providing easy access to some of Southern California’s most popular attractions. After undergoing a multi-million-dollar re-modernization, the meeting space and event venues have a subtle, yet impactful design identity showcasing textures, patterns, and color palettes that hint back to the surrounding natural elements. The various meeting and event spaces feature custom chandeliers and custom design carpet. No detail was overlooked while designing this iconic property. The resulting renovation is sure to spark interest, generate curiosity, and enhance the guest journey. We are excited to showcase our much-anticipated renovation to the public and we are looking for an inspiring, authentic and determined leader to join us in our journey.


The Associate Director of Sales will maintain a balance of proactive and reactive selling, and maintenance and growth of key account. The Associate Director of Sales handles more complex business with greater revenue potential; executes the sales strategy of the hotel, as defined by the Director of Sales & Marketing. The goals of this position are centered on the achievement of local negotiated room revenue, and group bookings from a predetermined set perimeter. Advanced level of producing business transient revenue through directly soliciting business via aggressive prospecting, making presentations, developing contracts, negotiating and closing sales. Understand the overall market, competitor, economic trends, supply & demand. 


Work Experience
  • 5 years’ experience in sales in the hospitality Industry required.
  • Strong selling skills
  • Strong emphasis on details, communication and organization skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with public and fellow team members.
  • Business communication skills including negotiations.
  • Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required and the applicant must maintain a flexible schedule.

Compensation $85-$95K Base
