About the role:

As a Technical Accounting Manager at AXA Partners, you'll have a crucial role in ensuring the accurate accounting and reporting of the International Travel portfolio, whilst supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Accounting. This is an exciting opportunity to work with multiple regions to provide clear insight and data for client profitability. You'll be a key contributor to implementing process efficiencies and working with Regional Account Managers and local Underwriting teams.

 

What you'll be doing:

As a Technical Accounting Manager, you'll be managing and leading a team of Finance Analysts, ensuring the production of the IPA SA, International Travel Branch Balance Sheet, and P&L in preparation for parent entity consolidation. You'll also be responsible for managing the Technical Accounting processes, including compiling accrual and deferral schedules, posting adjustment journals, and reviewing the trial balance.

In addition, you'll produce quarterly reports and in-depth variance analysis, supporting client performance tracking analysis to commercial, client management, and underwriting teams across multiple Regions. You'll manage budgets and forecasts, liaising with teams across Regions to ensure accuracy and suitability of budgets/forecasts, and you'll also liaise with colleagues to agree finance flows for insurance, re-insurance contracts.

Your Profile

About you:

To be successful in this role, you'll have past experience in insurance/Technical Accounting with evidence of being able to work successfully in a fast-moving and international environment. You'll have excellent interpersonal and team working skills with a helpful, flexible, pro-active, and solution-oriented approach. Furthermore, you'll have experience at defining and implementing lean and efficient processes.

As a leader, you'll be able to motivate and develop team members to deliver a high level of performance using company performance management practice, including goal setting, monitoring performance through regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development plans. You'll coach team members to unlock their potential, supporting them with access to appropriate training and development opportunities. You are someone with a positive approach and the ability to engage and inspire others.
