Our team in Essen currently has an opening for a Sustainability Project Manager (m/f/d)
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Global Industry Development (GID) VP and Sustainability counterparty in Brenntag Specialties (BSP) organization
- Coordinate sustainability topics and act as interface between Group Sustainability, VP GID, and Sustainability counterparty in BSP organization
- Develop and maintain strategic plans for segment's sustainability initiatives
- Perform all kinds of analyses and groundwork
- Build and maintain portfolio segmentation as it relates to sustainability
- Track and report data of industry portfolios towards sustainability
- Support Industry Market Managers and Commercial team on the promotion of sustainable products
- Maintain data quality in Master Data Management/IT systems
- Perform workshops together with Group Sustainability on organization and execution of portfolio segmentation
- Manage projects
- Support sales reps with customer development e.g., project management of circular economy business models.
- Provide content for promotional purposes, and work with Strategic content manager to enable marketing of sustainability topics
- Manage Product Carbon Footprint reduction plans and manage Product Carbon Footprint information requests
- Support Supplier Risk Management and implementation of mitigation measures
- Monitor market information related to suppliers, innovation, regulations, sustainability, recycling, etc.
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum bachelor’s degree from business, economics, engineering, environmental science, sustainability or related field.
- 5+ years' experience from relevant roles within business, engineering, regulatory, sustainability or the like.
- Experience from managing projects or people considered a plus.
- Experience from multi-nationals and/or Specialty chemicals market considered a plus.
- High proficiency of English language.
- Strong analytical skills, strong project management skills, strong communication skills, and well-developed leadership skills.
