From rapid response and performance improvement to operational efficiency and life-cycle management, Service is one of our fastest-growing areas. You will execute service work with Motor/Generator Service in İzmir, Turkey. Reporting to the Motor/Generator Workshop Manager, you will act as the technical point person between customers and extended ABB teams.
Your responsibilities
- Performs workshop tasks such as troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, assembly and testing.
- Conducting through inspections and assessments of equipment to identify and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
- Utilizing specialized tools and equipment for vibration analysis to assess the condition of motors and generators, performing vibration analysis to identify potential faults, defects or abnormalities in the equipment
- Applies safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities.
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines.
- Checks bill of materials and other documents to identify required parts for needed for service activity and ensures that all materials, parts, and equipment are available.
- Proactively executes work on a first-time right approach and ensures the job is done on time and on quality.
- Preparing comprehensive reports documenting service activities, including findings, recommendations and actions taken.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, new technologies and ABB product evelopments to provide the latest technical expertise to customers.
- Frequent domestic travelling will be required, as the role will require hands-on support at customer sites. International travelling might also be required for field services and training purposes.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing of Electrical Machines and applications.
- Knowledge of AC/DC Motors/ Generators.
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical principles related to Electrical Machines.
- Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.
- Turkish knowledge is a must.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
- Flexibility and quick adaption to frequent scheduling updates. Only on specific and pre-fixed schedule, availability to work during weekends and public holidays.
- Current car driving license (type B).
