Senior Technical Project Engineer (Mv Engineering)

You will be working as MV electrical design engineer and you will be the part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible to support ABB’s business strategy by developing and managing a preferred supply base that enhances ABB’s competitiveness and success of our customers

Your responsibilities

• Technical leading for all engineering activities in assignments classified as medium/high engineering complexity
• Ensuring that activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost- effectively executed, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
• Handling day to day running of the assigned projects including technical quality including full technical support to ELDS tendering and sales team as well as project management
• Working with different types of people including engineers, construction managers, designers, business managers, and others who play a role building up experiences required and preparing him to build up a successful carrier pass in ABB
• Performing all the design activities related to assigned projects including preparation of SLD drawings, schematics, and GA drawings, technical studying and reviewing for orders in hand to be sure that all client specification is strictly followed
• Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations, and project gross margin requirements, implementing latest ABB technologies related to the product and being sure of following ABB processes related to this activity

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical power and machines (5 years degree).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience (Preferred with experience as design engineer in the same field)
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic language is required
• French is an advantage
