What you can expect from us...

We are looking for you to work with an interdisciplinary team consisting of product managers, developers and editors to give our users in the Focus Online ecosystem the good feeling of being informed.

• You take a key role in the development and technical implementation of the product vision of Focus Online
• You put users first. By owning, shaping and driving the technical architecture for our product and features, you always have our users’ need for the feeling of being well informed in mind
• You work as an interface between the development team, product, editors and stakeholders to define and align project scopes, objectives and requirements
• You will work closely with our developers, analyzing, implementing and optimizing technical solutions
• You support the developers in solving technical challenges and ensure that the goals and milestones are achieved in the appropriate quality, finding the right balance between technical excellence and timely delivery
• You create and prioritize the technical product backlog and oversee the day-to-day execution of the project
• You love building digital products. If desired or required, you take an active role in building delightful experiences for our users.
• You'll get hands-on experience on a production-level system that impacts the life’s of 70% of the internet user in Germany working in an agile environment

What we would expect from you...

• You have strong experience with technically designing data pipelines and develop data based products.
• You have strong experience in mobile app development (Flutter)
• You have strong knowledge with deployment (Docker, AWS, Lambda)
• You have experience with data science and machine learning
• You have strong knowledge how to write scalable, well-documented code and apply software development best practices (version control, testing, documentation)
• You´re passionate, have strong problem-solving skills and performance and quality are important for you
