Join us as Senior Project Engineer for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be designing authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Completing assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.Reporting to Digital Solution Engineering Manager and this position will be based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Coordinating engineering discipline across several projects. Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Designing and conducting experiments, analyzing, and interpreting data. Preparing complete project documents in one’s area of responsibility
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
• Supporting Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.). Providing cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivering within budget and contract
• Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviewing and approving scope, budget and scheduling for assignments and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
• Completing risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Reporting any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution
• Interacting with customers, officials, contractors, and others. Attending project meetings and presenting specific aspects of engineering assignments
• Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed to with potential suppliers. Maintaining network of engineering professionals and shares engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines

Your background

• Degree in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering, or similar field
• Minimum 3 years of Systems Engineering for a Power Management Systems
• Good Knowledge of ABB 800xA Engineering in IEC61850 and in ABB 800xA PMS Library Engineering
• Ability to understand Electrical schematics and design Control Systems Communication Network
• IEC61850/GOOSE protocol knowledge and familiar with RSTP, MRP, HSR, PRP, Firewall
• Knowledge of Power Loading controls, sharing and control of Power plant generators, power grids
• Good hold on Generator Synchronization and hardware design
