You will be supporting commercial and trading responsibilities for pricing across the Retail Portfolio, working closely with the Portfolio Pricing Manager. Responsible for commercial outcomes for our Direct products by collaborating with Direct Pricing, Finance and Reserving teams.

What you’ll be doing:
- Provide pricing insight to support trading, customer and commercial outcomes. Examples include mix of business insight, performance outliers, actual versus expected analysis, footprint, written performance and contribution, short term trading insight, strategic portfolio analysis and ideation
- Make use of advanced analytics to produce more efficient and robust insight
- Ensure pricing for non-modelled risks is regularly updated to achieve Retail P&L targets and utilise insight from pricing modelling department where appropriate
- Deliver analysis of competitor price change using third party market data supply
- Play an active role representing team in pricing committees and take responsibility for Portfolio Pricing actions
- Support Portfolio Pricing Manager with Executive requests, briefing documents and committee preparation
- Collaborate effectively across AXA Retail Pricing teams to support delivery of Retail Pricing Strategy

Your Profile
What we’re looking for:
- Experienced Senior Analyst that is highly customer focused and can deliver results that exceed expectations
- Experience of pricing software such as Emblem/RADAR is an advantage
- Good programming skills, for example SAS, R, Python
- Good analytical, presentational and influencing skills
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines
- Able to build positive, productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- Experienced in converting high-level ideas and concepts into practical plans which motivate and provide clear direction
- Solution focused and able to drive continuous improvement
- Self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, who values contribution and understands need for collaboration
- Demonstrable resilience and experience of successfully managing multiple priorities
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment in which the business operates and understanding of the dynamics of large organisations
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
