Medtronic is hiring a Senior IT integration technologist. As a Senior IT integration technologist, you will be a key member of our IT team, specializing in designing, implementing, and managing complex integration solutions. Leveraging your extensive technical expertise and deep understanding of integration technologies, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's integration strategy and driving innovation within the integration landscape. Your expertise in integration technologies, combined with strategic thinking and technical leadership, will contribute to the success of our integration projects and overall IT ecosystem. A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Technical Expertise: Leverage your in-depth expertise in webMethods suite including Integration Server, Trading Networks, Universal Messaging, Broker Server, MWS, BAM/BPM, API Gateway, Enterprise Gateway, MFT (Active Transfer Server), webMethods.io, Informatica, ETL tools, Kafka and data transformation techniques to design and implement robust and scalable integration solutions.
• Solution Implementation: Oversee the implementation of integration solutions, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and adhere to best practices. Provide hands-on technical expertise as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, exploring new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance integration processes, efficiency, and performance.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve integration-related issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of integration solutions. Collaborate with support teams to provide timely resolutions.
• Solution Implementation: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of complex integration solutions, including the development of APIs, connectors, middleware configurations, and data transformation processes. Ensure solutions adhere to best practices and architectural standards.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Provide mentorship and guidance to integration technologists and junior members of the team. Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Vendor Interaction: Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to understand product roadmaps, influence enhancements, and ensure the organization's integration architecture is future-proof and aligned with industry trends. Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate effective collaboration throughout the integration process.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability. Identify and address potential bottlenecks and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, design documents, and integration patterns. Contribute to the development of a knowledge repository for integration practices.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, integration trends, and industry developments. Explore and recommend innovative solutions to improve integration processes, efficiency, and overall system performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

• 8+ years of progressive experience in IT integration with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or a related field. or 7+ years of experience with an advanced degree.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead the development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines.
• Participate in integration design activities working with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and peer Team Members.
• Proven expertise in integration technologies, middleware platforms, integration design patterns, messaging frameworks, and API management, ETL tools, data transformation techniques and ESB frameworks.
• Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements.
• Experience working with Real Time & Near Real Time integrations, including Message Oriented based message handling techniques.
• Experience with Cloud technology AWS including containers, Kubernetes, Docker and understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platform/Applications.
• Design and handle integrations using XML, IDOC, BAPI, EDI, Flatfiles, Java, webservices, API management, Integration cloud, Hybrid-Integration, Cloud streams.
• Experience /Knowledge in designing CI/CD solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise database technologies like Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience or strong knowledge of communication and data handling protocols (AS2, AS4, PGP/GPG, S/MIME, HTTPS, FTPS/SFTP/SCP/POP3/SMTP, Web Services/SOAP/REST, etc.)

• Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in change management, as it relates to a culture and mindset of a complex organization including capabilities building, process design, ownership, and implementation.
• Managing a Global Organization and Stakeholders.
