For further growth of our Finance Center of Expertise, we are currently hiring a
Senior Accountant DACH (f/m/d)
based in the Munich area (Hybrid option).
You play a major role in our Regional Controlling organization and are critical in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, statutory, and tax requirements in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The role requires understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills, and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams. Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or similar qualification with relevant work experience / Bilanzbuchhalter: in (IHK)
- Relevant professional experience in broad finance and accounting roles
- Exposure to a multinational corporate environment and/or audit function is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax matters for Germany
- Excellent communication skills, diplomacy, flexibility, and “can do” mindset
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German
- Working knowledge of reporting tools including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with finance and accounting tools and ERP systems
- Eager to learn, quickly adapt to a changing environment, and value differences
Your essential duties and responsibilities:
- Support the controlling team in executing US GAAP, statutory and tax accounting, and reporting for the entities across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
- Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local rules and regulations
- Support strengthening of financial processes and controls
- Work closely with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, in the execution of end-to-end finance processes
- Participate in resolution of complex accounting and tax issues
- Participate in local, regional, and global projects, as required
- Be an advocate of the finance function
- Maintain focus on continuous process improvement
