In this exciting role as an Operating Unit (OU) Implementation Manager – Product DNA / Windchill, you will be part of our Core Quality Services (CQS) Team supporting the OUs in the implementation of Windchill, our new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool.

As the OU Implementation Manager – Product DNA / Windchill, you will focus on ensuring that the respective OUs, sites, and functions in scope for a given wave deployment are implemented and ready to conduct business as part of Medtronic Product DNA Implementation of Windchill. You will work closely with the impacted OUs, sites and functions to ensure the organization is ready to transition to the new processes and platform for change control and Product Lifecycle Management. This role will report to CQS – Configuration Assurance, Quality Systems Director.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

    • Identify the processes in scope for each wave of the Windchill Integration, including key process changes to be implemented for the in-scope OUs, Sites and Functions.
    • Understand data migration sources, targets, cleansing requirements and schedule. Establish and execute the plan for delivering on data migration.
    • Lead project meetings to ensure progress against plan, identifying and removing barriers to project success and escalating issues and risks as needed.
    • Ensure resources are assigned, aligned to, aware of and engaged on tasks to adequately address process changes, training, testing and organizational change management.
    • Establish and execute a wave cut-over plan that accounts for data conversion activities, dual maintenance activities, process activities – freezes and ramp-ups, user access, user on-boarding, post go-live support and criteria for exiting cut-over / hyper-care.
    • Comprehensively plan for Process Transition (As-Is to To-Be) and the training and change management necessary for the business to effectively take on the new processes and system.
    • Ensure impacted change analysts within CQS are trained and become “experts” in new processes and system functionality.
    • Coordinate effective written and verbal communications with the ability to tailor communications to varying audiences, including developing and delivering customized Site, OU, and Function level communications from site leadership to end-users.
    • Serve as the primary voice providing details around key tasks and timelines (usability pilots, testing, training, etc.), process changes, program status, go-live and support.
    • Manage escalations between the Enterprise Program and OU / Site Leaders on material issues and risks.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of Program Management experience

Nice to Have

· System Implementation Experience at an Enterprise Level PTC Windchill System experience.

· Demonstrated organizational change management or organization readiness experience

· PLM experience.

· Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics in a matrixed environment.

· Experience with system conversions, data migration, cross functional planning, and software implementations.

· Ability to establish and maintain a trusted role with the various stakeholders in coordinating multiple functions across multiple organizations.

· Experience managing teams across different geographies remotely.

· Effective planning and organization skills including the proven ability to work against multiple objectives and on multiple programs simultaneously.

· Experience in leading people through change, including execution of processes, projects, and tactics in a matrixed environment.

· Experience implementing initiatives through effective influence management skills at multiple levels in the organization.

· Strong interpersonal, relationship and team building skills.

· End-to-end knowledge of QS Change Control Process.

· Experience in Medical Device or Pharma Industries.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
