Your contribution to TenneT

As Project Engineer for the HVDC/platforms you will be working on an important and innovative element of Europe's ambitious offshore energy goals. You will be working closely with the HVDC/Platform Lead and with the Project Lead Platform.
Your main tasks will be:

• Follow up and coordinate interfaces of the HVDC/platform contract with other contract parties (DC cable, land station) and external stakeholders (like the Offshore Wind Farm and Rijkswaterstaat).
• Coordinate the implementation of changes to the scope of the project.
• Prepare decision proposals.
• Implement and ensure a proper reporting of the various disciplines.
• Ensure a proper handover and alignment from engineering in The Netherlands towards construction in South East Asia.
• Coordinate progress and design reviews with internal stakeholders (operations, maintenance etc).
• Review engineering documentation.

Your profile and background

• Mechanical, Civil or Electrical engineering background or equivalent (Bachelor or Master degree).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in the execution of large projects.
• Experience with or strong interest and learning ambitions in the design and construction of HVDC Offshore Substations and all relevant subsystems (e.g. HVA/C, fire protection, structural, drain, water supply, etc.), technical project - & contractor management and all related processes.
• Strong problem solvinger with excellent communication skills, enthusiastic, eager to learn, responsible, intrinsically motivated, high work ethic and team player.
• Willingness to travel, to manufacturers, yards and offshore deployments, for at least 20% of the time, lasting several days (including Europe and Asia).
• In possession of a valid driving license.

This will be our challenge

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

• Salary for this position is in grade 8, between € 3.879,- and € 7.660,- gross based on a fulltime position
• The weekly working time is 40 hours
• Type of contract is indefinite
• 43 vacation days
