You will be working as Project Engineer - Process Power Manager and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing authority for electrical power management system with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Handling testing, installation and commissioning activities
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
• Supporting the Contract Manager in change management (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.)
• Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviewing and approving scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
• Completing power management system related risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility
• Assisting customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Assisting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings

Your background

• Bachelor's or diploma in electrical and electronics engineering
• Require 3 to 6 years of experience in automation system
• Good to have knowledge about ABB systems/ABB products
• Experience in substation automation, power management, load shedding
• Good to have 800xA, micro scada
• Electrical engineer with competancy on automation and communication protocols like IEC 61850, Modbus, IEC 103, 104, 101, DNP, Profibus etc
