Planning Specialist (Maternity Cover)

This position is in charge of creating constrained production plans, material plans and work-in-progress inventory rationalization in order to improve service levels and optimize working capital.You will collate and evaluate production plan, using rough-cut and detailed capacity planning and links it to the demand plan.

Your responsibilities

• Monitoring of production requirements and coordination with production team to ensure continuous production according to the customer orders
• Aligning purchase orders with customer requirements in terms of content, delivery and sustainability
• Purchasing materials on behalf of the business according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms. Execute the procurement process. Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery) and resolving / escalating performance issues
• Analyzing excess and obsolete/aging inventory. Taking appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance
• In close collaboration with all departments (Production, Supply Chain Management team, Quality, Customer service)
• Works continuously on process development and following the strategy of ABB
• Be responsible for materials accuracy and supporting cycle counting and year-end inventory counting.

Your background

• University degree, preferable Economics or technical degree
• Fluent English language
• Sound knowledge of MS Office (Excel especially)
• Experience in relevant field will be considered as an advantage
• Knowledge of ERP system / SAP will be considered as an advantage
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
