Your role and goals

Productsup is looking for an experienced People Operations Manager to join our People and Culture team. You will play a pivotal role in managing the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring the smooth functioning of HR processes across our 8 diverse international locations.

You will be responsible for maintaining compliance to German labour laws and a strong preference for familiarity to Dutch labour laws. Cultivating positive relationships with our employees is vital. You will excel at gathering and documenting HR information, efficiently managing our HR database, and providing valuable assistance to supported employees dealing with HR-related matters.

You will uphold our company values by handling employee relations with the utmost care and professionalism.

In your first 3 months you will:

  • Get up to speed with the company’s structure and people processes
  • Become familiar with our HRIS - Personio
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding. Take full responsibility for administrative paperwork, such as contracts, reference letters, and pension plan documentation
  • Provide expertise in German labour law and preferably Dutch labour law to ensure compliance in all HR practices.
  • Utilize HR systems effectively to streamline processes and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Form solid relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including our People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Managers, Finance Dept, and external HR service providers

In your first 6 months and beyond you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Be proficient in HR technology, leveraging tools, platforms to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in HR operations
  • Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to enhance the employee experience and recommend process improvements for existing HR processes
  • Support with quarterly projects within the People Operations & Business Partner team, for example implementing new softwares or employee programs
  • Become familiar with the different types of work visas in Germany and how to obtain them for our employees

What you bring to the team

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in HR operations, with an in-depth knowledge of German Labour law framework and practices. Familiarity with Dutch labour law, is a bonus
  • Proficient in Google Suites and Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in both English and German is a must. Knowledge of Dutch language skills is a plus
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for details
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee matters and data with discretion and empathy.
  • Experience working with HR systems, eg: Personio, Workday or SAP
