The Opportunity
Based out of Oslo, Norway, we are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support the payroll function for employees in the 4 Norwegian commercial and manufacturing Abbott entities. You will act independently as a payroll function and report directly to Finance, not through a payroll supervisor. In addition to monthly payroll related tasks you will also work with simplifications and standardizations of payroll related processes
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare the monthly payroll, including backup documentation and reconciliations.
- Be updated on payroll related legislation.
- Function as the main point of contact for payroll related matters from employees.
- Support payroll reviews, as part of internal and external audits.
- Update master data in the payroll system.
- Maintain employee data in the pension portal.
- Provide ad hoc reports to HR, Shared Service Center etc.
- Administration of our Employee Stock Purchase Plan
- Request refunds from NAV
- Send information to public authorities and trade unions.
- Check for completeness of supporting payroll documents.
- Improve the efficiency of payroll processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or another related field
- 3-5 years relevant working experience
- Good command of Excel.
- Experience with SAP and SD-Works is a plus.
- Strong attention to details.
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders of different seniorities.
- Good knowledge in Norwegian payroll rules.
- Fluency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language as well as English (written and verbal).
