Order Management Specialist

As Order Management Specialist, you will be responsible for internal and external customer care (e.g. technical, order assistance, payment-related assistance) and coordination of relevant functions to have complete case ownership and increase customer satisfaction. This role supports ABB’s Electrification Smart Power division located in Richmond, VA.

Planning & Fulfillment Manager

Your responsibilities

• Customer focus: Pro-actively communicates with customers and internal functions in order to guarantee customer satisfaction by providing all relevant information
• Ensures the resolution of customer issues (e.g. order, technical, payment) by coordinating with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain Management, and other internal and/or external teams
• Customer requests: Provides appropriate solution for customer requests, and coordinates with related teams to ensure the complete handling of the requests (e.g. order changes, order completion, expediting, credit management, tracking and communication, blocks and suspensions, etc.)
• Documentation: Collects and archives documentation regarding the orders and records assumptions and decisions taken during the process in the systems in scope of responsibility
• Data analysis: Regularly analyzes statistics (e.g. forecast, pacing, etc.) using available tools and collecting relevant information
• Health, Safety and Environment (HSE): Reads, understands and follows the HSE guidelines and reports discrepancies to leadership

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related technical/STEM field of study
• 2 plus years of experience in a Material Planning or Manufacturing Environment
• Strong analytical skills, Self-motivated and strong communication skills
• Microsoft 365 Office Program Proficiency
• Rapidly respond to unforeseen developments and initiate actions to reduce adverse impact
• SAP ERP Experience in the Production Module
• Experience in customer relations, Order Management, thorough knowledge of planning tools, quality processes and understanding of commercial terms and standard order procedures a plus
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
