Manager Business Analytics NIYour Skills
The Manager of Business Analytics will assist the New Installation (NI) Analytics team in an exciting opportunity to manage the development, delivery, and support of solutions. The mission for the NI Analytics team is to drive long-term profitable growth, support periods of rapid change and grow faster than the market in the most profitable segments for Schindler. As a manager, the ideal candidate must be influential and collaborative with demonstrated experience leading, implementing, and supporting an enterprise-wide analytics strategy to help ensure the success of the NI Business. Driving business performance by partnering with key stakeholders, deliver solutions that support the growth of the business and maintaining a roadmap that supports the NI mission are key to the success of this position
- Partner with NI Sales and Field operations to improve business performance (i.e., near and long-term profitable growth) through automation, reporting, analytics & insights.
- Establish an objective data-based point-of-view of where the management team should focus its attention and which projects, or investments will generate the greatest returns.
- Manage the buildout of the NI Analytics program by managing the analytics roadmap, establishing agile methods, and implementing standards & governance to support the visibility into the key drivers of business performance.
- Own the suite of analytics solutions and tools using industry best practices.
- NI business subject matter expert on NI data, how it is reported, extracted, and interpreted from the various data sources.
- Optimize and automate reporting & analytics for sales, bids, competitor information, market data, etc.
- Lead analytical assessments to define and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Lead meetings with internal stakeholders (e.g., projects, ideation, problem solving, progress updates, etc.)
- Serve as a knowledgeable, go-to resource for Schindler’s internal NI data (SAP, Power BI, etc.)
- Identify information and data needs (internal & external) required to support project efforts.
- Source, collect, organize, clean, and synthesize data for analyses and support programs to drive new business such as a new product launch.
- Build sophisticated quantitative models and analyses across a range of topics (NI and LPC Business analytics, finance, valuation, statistics, operations, etc.)
- Create easily digestible visualizations to present key outcomes/results of analyses.
- Communicate insights and recommendations effectively (Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Build familiarity with new analytics software and tools to drive innovation within the NI business.
60% - Data Analytics, Reporting & Insights: Automate standard reporting, develop factual basis to support data-driven decision making within the NI business.
20% - Problem Solving/Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought partner to NI business leaders. Bring an owner mindset and fresh perspective to help senior managers address their most pressing issues
20% - Project Management: Bring structure to problem solving and action planning. Establish the framework/methodology and lead project teams to deliver impressive results
Your Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business related or analytical discipline required
Masters in Business Administration or Economics preferred
Minimum 3 years prior analytics experience required
Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of analytics concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
Strong presentation skills with a particular focus on engaging with sales, finance, and executive leadership
Proven track record of collaborating successfully across organizational boundaries
Ability to analyze issues and develop and deploy solutions within a dynamic, ever-changing environment
Ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative customer insights to design and implement compelling offers to drive results to plan
