Modern digitally networked vehicles contain complex systems with multiple interfaces. Structuring these systems, creating their functional concepts and managing the necessary interfaces is the task of Systems Engineering. With increasing connectivity and a growing range of functions, this task is becoming ever more important for reliable operation.

A combination or sequence of internship and thesis is possible. Please let us know your preferred IAV location in your cover letter.

Your tasks:

• You will further develop the software architecture for the electric vehicle drive.
• You will use modern Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
• You will have the opportunity to gain experience with a contemporary development method.
• You will immerse yourself in an innovative and growing field of work in the automotive industry.
• IAV's networked Systems Engineering team will be there to support you.

Necessary skills:

• Ongoing studies in mechatronics, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a similar course of study
• Sound knowledge of the functioning of the electric drive train and/or the control of electric drives
• Strong logical thinking and ability to abstract complex interrelationships
• High level of commitment and ability to grasp new skills independently

Desired skills:

• ideally initial experience and specialist knowledge of modeling
• Knowledge of software development, preferably with experience in the development of Software for electric drives
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies and methods in the field of drive systems and software development
