Purpose of the Role:
Springer Nature is driving for further harmonization and standardization across business divisions and regions. This role should drive this for strategic and operational Management Reporting for the entire group, focussing here on group wide Non Financials and Financials for the business division Journals with the following
Key Activities:
Preparation and distribution of standard management reports, aligned with business requirements
Delivery of accurate (consolidated) management data (financial and non-financial)
Ensurance of consistent reporting across the business covering all P+L lines
Continuous improvement of processes and standard reports
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the data gathering from various source systems, data preparation, quality assurance, preparation and delivery of standard management reports for either group wide non-financials or financial reporting for the business division Journals
You deliver accurate (consolidated) management data (financial and non-financial) and ensure consistent reporting across the business covering all P+L lines
You receive and discuss reporting requirements with the business and support the development and implementation of new reporting standards.
You support analyzing reporting processes and drive for rationalization, standardization and automation of reports
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Degree in Business Studies or related field and professional experience in the field of controlling, ideally with focus on reporting
Strong IT affinity, experience in different IT applications preferred (e.g. SAP BW, BI tools, MS Office)
First experience to work with cross-functional teams in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results to the organization
Fluent in English (written and spoken), communication skills in German are a plus
Strong affinity with reporting and reporting solutions
Ability to work towards deadlines
Taking ownership, problem solver with a hands-on mentality
