ESG Regulations, Data & Reporting Lead (x/f/m)

Paris / London – Hybrid

As ESG Regulations, reporting and data Lead, you will report to the Head of ESG & Sustainability for Prime, and you will be part of AXA IMPRIME business unit.

• Keeping up to date with ESG regulations, notably in the EU (SFDR, CSRD etc.), the US and the UK

• Contributing to ensuring consistent implementation of ESG regulatory requirements across all business units, alongside the legal, risks and compliance teams

• ESG regulations in Key ESG indicators to be collected, monitored and reported upon at portfolio and entity levels

• Conduct awareness and education sessions on ESG regulations

ESG Data management

• Leading the ESG data collection and monitoring effort in collaboration with the Operations, data and technology teams, with the objective of setting up and implementing an ESG data operating model adapted to the private markets funds of funds business
• Ccontributing to establishing a robust governance on ESG data to mobilize the internal and external expertise on best practices

• Setting up and keeping up to date the ESG data mapping for the different use cases and reporting requirements, in line with current and emerging regulations (SFDR/taxonomy/SDR/TCFD), AXA Group and IM ‘s ESG reporting and specific clients’ requests

• Setting up and supervising the ESG data collection campaigns in collaboration with the investment and data teams, including creating and reviewing ESG data questionnaires sent to the external managers

• Monitoring and contributing to the data management processes to ensure data consistency, including supporting the search of best ways to source, store, and aggregate ESG data in collaboration with the data and tech teams

• Reviewing the results of the ESG data collection campaigns and establishing a process for quality controls and remediation actions to steer data quality, alongside the data and tech teams on innovative solutions (e.g. through AI, engagement with investment managers etc.)

• Helping identify the data needed and contributing to set up ESG data tracking to produce the most useful insights that will inform Prime’s ESG strategy, including carbon and energy transition metrics to ensure that a growing percentage of our portfolios is dedicated to financing a more sustainable economy

• Setting up and updating on an ongoing basis an ESG data dictionary, aligned with regulations, best practices and business standards in private markets

• Leading Prime’s commercial and regulatory ESG reporting, at the firm and at the portfolio’s levels, in collaboration with the Operations, Investment, Legal and Marketing teams, taking into account the regulatory expectations, clients’ requests and the specificities of each investment strategy

• Keeping up to date with ESG reporting regulations and best practices

• Understanding and anticipating LPs' reporting expectations contributing to meet Prime’s clients’ needs in that field

• Defining templates for ESG reporting at fund and entity levels in collaboration with the investment and business development teams

• Reviewing ESG reportings

• Engaging with external managers to push best reporting practices amongst our partners

• Good understanding of governance and compliance issues, acting a subject matter expert on these topics

• Contributing to the ESG assessment of external managers and portfolios, with a specific focus on hedge funds, in collaboration with portfolio managers, the operational due diligence team and the other ESG team members

• Supporting the active maintaining and enhancing of Prime’s ESG network of external managers and LPs, with a specific focus on US/ UK markets

Skills

• Solid understanding of ESG regulations

• Solid data analysis skills, comfortable with ESG datasets
• Experience with the production of ESG reports

• Interest in anticipating future and innovative developments in ESG data and reporting solutions in private markets
• Deep understanding of asset management, with experience in private markets and/or hedge funds

• Doer mindset, strong attention to details and critical thinking skills

• Problem solving and project management skills, ability to work transversally with a high number of stakeholders

• Proactivity and ability to think "out of the box" and generate innovative solutions in a complex environment

• Good interpersonal and time management skills

• Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in a leading ESG role in an Asset Management or advisory firm

• Fluency in English, French a plus 

Education/Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance/Economics or similar qualification
