Join us as Engineering Manager for our Robotics and Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai,China where you will be managing a team of engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers. Formulating plan, allocating resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Ensuring team's compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices, and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities
- Defining and ensuring implementation of operating guidelines for team. Overseeing progress within engineering, identifying and managing technical issues. Driving team performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time, as per the set contract, safety and quality requirements
- Ensuring delivery of technical solutions according to customer requirements. Driving development of processes/practices based on customer feedback. Providing engineering support during the bid phase, ensuring that the resources required to deliver the technical solutions are correctly accounted (e.g. the requirements for safety, technical competence, quality, schedule and cost)
- Ensuring that the engineering team is adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs. Ensuring correct assignments of tasks within the engineering team, defining relevant performance metrics. Creating work plans and cost estimates for engineering work
- Ensuring (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating ,coaching and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR polices. Facilitating best practice sharing within the engineering team
- Communicating closely with global technical team for knowledge transfer and best practice sharing. Working with R&D teams for product optimization and new product development
Your background
- University degree in Engineering
- 8 to10 years of engineering experience in Automation System implementation. Experience of Automotive/Logistic industry is preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in managing an engineering team
- Strong leadership skills
- Good English communication abilities
