Development Engineer - Solar Arrays (d/f/m)

The solar array center of Airbus Defence & Space is one of the worldwide leaders in the manufacturing of solar arrays for all applications, ranging from low earth orbit observation, high power geostationary up to high/low temperature, high/low irradiance science applications.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates

• Electrical and mechanical design and analysis of solar arrays and components

• Technical responsibility in development projects in institutional and commercial markets

• Preparation, surveillance and evaluation of acceptance and qualification tests

• Develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements

Desired skills and qualifications

• Degree in aerospace engineering or similar

• Knowledge in electrical and mechanical design

• Profound knowledge in programming (e.g. Python)

• Fluent in English

• Basic German skills required

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
