Our team is responsible for the software that implements Infineon’s R&D-to-Production process. In your function, you will have a key role in the replacement of a medium-sized legacy application that is a central component of a large enterprise-level software system. In your new role you will:
- Co-develop application and data architecture from scratch (together with Tech Lead)
- Take a leading role in implementation
- Manage requirements and communication with stakeholders
- Maintain and support legacy application
- Apply agile software development methods like Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Kanban and Scrum
- Learn and collaborate to replace hands-on how a core application of a large system in a systematic approach starting way before any code is written with analysis and concept development activities
Your Profile
You love software development to solve domain problems. You want to do both - apply your Software Engineering expertise, as well as continuously increase your understanding of the application domain. With that you create well-structured software solutions that reflect the concepts of the domain and align well with the use cases.
Furthermore, you show a sustained interest in the application domain, have a passion to understand the existing Web Application, aspire to become the mastermind of the new solution. Not only that, but you enjoy blending into a diverse team and add to its creative potential and great mix of personalities.
Beyond, you are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
- About 5 years of professional experience within database and Web Application Development
- Experience in relational database technologies (Oracle, MySQL)
- Deep understanding of web technologies (JavaScript, REST APIs) and very good programming skills in a scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl)
- Basic understanding of Microservices and Event-driven Architectures
- Ideally know-how of the microelectronics domain (semiconductor manufacturing), but at least interest in getting familiar in this field
- Excellent English skills, German as a plus
