Function Objective
- Prepare Fixed Asset accounting information and maintain the fixed asset register in accordance with Group Organization Norms and local statutory and tax requirements.
- Internal control KPI, and actively support the Group risk management process.
- Responsible for the local implementation of the global Operating Net Working Capital policy and tools. It supervises all aspects of NWC performance at KW Level and is responsible for the operational support to Business.
Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Accounting and Register (FAR) Maintenance:
- Establish and maintain a centralized Fixed Asset Register capturing details such as asset description, acquisition date, cost, useful life, depreciation method, location and Tagging.
- Conduct periodic reviews of FAR, ensure the proper disposal of obsolete or non-operational assets and compliance with local regulations.
Net Working Capital (NWC)
- Collaborate with Account Payable, Controlling, procurement, and material planning teams to optimize working capital.
- Supervise NWC performance at the local level, establishing KPIs to measure efficiency.
- Analyse performance metrics regularly and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Managing the company's insurance portfolio, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks.
- Conduct regular reviews of all company insurance policies (property & casualty, liability, business interruption, etc.) to ensure adequate coverage and alignment with current risk profile.
- Maintain a centralized repository for all insurance documents and certificates.
- Oversee the claims filing process in the event of an insured loss.
- Prepare reports summarizing insurance coverage, risk assessments, and claims activity for senior management.
Other Responsibilities
- Establish key control points and monitor the segregation of duties framework to prevent conflicts of interest and reduce the risk of fraud.
- Continuously review and improve processes related to fixed asset accounting, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, and NWC mgt.
- Explore and implement technology solutions to enhance efficiency in Supply Chain Management Information Systems (MIS) and Financial reporting.
- Leverage automation tools to streamline data entry, reconciliation, and management reporting of fiscal governance processes.
