Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives
- Responsible for warehouse operations in AMS and 3PL warehouses, receiving and issuing materials for production and material movement between war ehouses.
- Responsible for warehouse policies and procedures. Implement safety, quality, and operational excellence programs in the warehouse to drive safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
- Ownership for storage capacity, warehouse layout and material movement design, ensure aligned with business strategy and meeting customer needs.
- Responsible for warehouse resources including manpower and warehouse assets
- Manage outsourced service providers according to service level agreement and key performance indicators
Responsibilities:
- Provide Leadership and direction to a team of Warehouse and Logistics Front Line Leaders and Specialist. Develop short and long term strategy for the department. Set KPIs, Goals & Objectives and lead the team to deliver results
- Responsible for Import of raw materials and Export of Finished products. Collaborate with network of global partners to execute freight and distribution of finished products.
- Drive tax effective supply chains through available Trade programs and tax incentives for imports and exports. Responsible for Customs and Trade compliance and support Documentation requirement for Product entry to all destinations
- Responsible for management of both the in-plant warehouse and external 3rd party managed warehouse. Ensure clean, pest-free storage and secured warehouse to safeguard product integrity.
- Responsible for resource planning, ensure right skills, safe machine, right materials and approved methods to support business needs.
- Responsible for asset life-cycle management. Ensure preventive maintenance completed as scheduled. implement operator care programs to promote responsible use of warehouse equipment
- Responsible for warehouse and logistics policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with policies and procedure, business code of conduct and statutory requirements
- Responsible for work place safety of all employees and contractors working in the warehouse by ensuring strict compliance to EHS policies and procedures
- Lead investigations for quality related events, ensure timely closure of reports, timely implementation of CAPA and evaluate CAPA effectiveness
- Mentor, coach and shape behaviors to achieved desired outcomes. Helping individuals see the need for change, manage change and reinforcement for successful transitions. Help individuals create on-the-job learning opportunities for competency development.
- Track and manage warehouse and logistics budget and expenses. Analyze variance and initiate corrective actions
- Manage performance of outsourced service providers, ensure services are delivered in a timely manner, meeting the company’s quality and performance standards within budgeted cost
- Manage inventory for both in-plant and external warehouse. Implement robust inventory control systems, perform periodic physical counts, reconcile and investigate variances. Ensure compliance with SOX inventory requirement
- Drive warehouse and logistics excellence through Lean / Sigma continuous improvement projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or Material Management
- Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience and 3 years in management position.
- Lean sigma concepts will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge in MS applications.
