In this role, you will be responsible for developing new and complex product features for a modern Distributed Control System used across multiple industries. In doing so, you will use current technologies and techniques. As part of this, you will ensure the continuous modernization and optimization of the product.Does this sound like your dream job? Your responsibilities

• Technical analysis of problems
• Creation of specifications and concepts to meet complex product development requirements
• Independent specification, conception and execution of development tasks in compliance with general principles
• Escalation management in case of current or expected planning delays
• Tracking of technical advancements in the respective application area and independent evaluation of new technologies for use in the product
• Responsibility for the design of product features and the product architecture taking into account all product areas

Your background

• First relevant professional experience in a comparable position with knowledge of object-oriented software development
• Knowledge in C++, Qt, Linux
• Knowledge of JIRA, Make, Git and Jenkins or alternative development environments desirable
• Knowledge of automation technology such as industrial data acquisition and processing, visualization of plant or process data, common industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Profibus, Powerlink, etc.) or encrypted client-server communication is desirable
• A degree in automation technology, mechatronics, computer science or comparable, alternatively a completed apprenticeship with relevant work experience
• Fluent in German and English
