What you`ll do

Summary

We are looking for sustainability methodology professionals to further develop SAP’s Sustainability product portfolio. You will be part of a team that is tasked to further SAP’s goals for sustainability and with specific expertise in climate and carbon accounting, working in the Sustainability Product Development unit.  

You will have dual responsibilities. On one hand, you will provide the SAP Product Management and Engineering teams solid, foundational expertise to develop innovative sustainability products (e.g., Carbon Accounting). On the other, you will apply your expertise and engage with customers to ensure successful adoption of these products, at scale. 

The Role

You will work in a cross-functional organization that values trust, respect and diversity and will lead product and partner strategy around climate and carbon accounting while being a strong influencer across SAP and in the market. 

In this role you will: 

• Implement methodology (processes, tools, and approach) to calculate corporate and product carbon footprint 
• Apply your research experience and science-based knowledge of sustainability, to help develop SAP’s product portfolio on sustainability 
• Support product development teams in applying climate science to product themes 
• Support service and project implementation teams in implementing the products at customers  
• Keep up to date with external scientific developments and research on the impact of climate change 

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree, ideally sustainability related
• Hands-on knowledge of LCA Databases and approach   
• Implementation experience of LCA-based carbon accounting projects in 2-3 different industries  
• In-depth knowledge of GHG Emission protocol 
• Strong expertise in Supply Chain carbon emissions and carbon accounting methodologies   
• Working knowledge of important climate regulations  
• Strong familiarity with Lean and Agile development methodology, and tools used therein 
• Hands-on experience on Data Science techniques would be a huge advantage 
• Very good English skills
• Graduates and Early Professionals are welcome
