The Opportunity
This is a pipeline position that will be located on São Paulo site in the Abbott Diagnostics Division.
We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
As the DevOps Director, you’ll have the chance to lead a group of engineers to build code for the mobile and Web Cloud platform, working closely with product manager, customer support and testing teams. You’ll manage operations, collaborate with security and infrastructure, and support IT defects.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Strategic Pricing Assistant roles and responsibilities
- Guides, monitors, analyzes, and provides expertise on pricing and contract terms for acquisition opportunities
- Manages opportunity analysis thru myQuote and discuss trade-off with commercial / technical teams in order to assure the most profitable deal as possible
- Tracks compliance of current contracts, including price increases and commitment adherence
- Maintains pricing tools as required (MyQuote, MyContract, MyDash)
- Provides insights, input and guidance to country profitability enhancement initiatives
- Support and leadership of GMI (Gross Margin Improvement) agenda
- Guarantees that processes are adherent with respective policies and assures compliance according to Audit requirements
- Coordinates with Contract Management to complete post-signing contract entry into MyContract
- Support to the Direct Channel regarding investments, price lists, price increases, discounts, and rebates
- Monitors Pricing outcomes to track performance and price integrity within region I country Performs Pricing Analytics to identify pricing trends that impact how to price future deals in the region I country
- Sets Pricing Schedules annually for Product (assay, instrument, service, disposables)
Education
Bachelor Degree in related filed (Administration, Economy, Engineering, Accounting)
MBA is preferred
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of related work experience in healthcare industry and or consumer goods industry with strong financial analysis
- Demonstrated understanding of the local healthcare market including pricing trends and customer needs
- Excellent communication skills in English & Spanish
- Strong understanding of P&L and how pricing and contract terms impact deal profitability
- Some knowledge of Abbott Diagnostics Division (CoreDx) product offerings is a plus
- Sales/Marketing experience a strong plus
- Advanced skills in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access - required
- Knowledge of Salesforce (strong asset)
