The Process, Practice and Tooling team streamlines and simplifies process, practices and tools to drive speed and agility for thousands of Workday users. We’re authorities at redefining complexity into order, and paring back processes to reduce toil and overhead.We don’t just tackle problems on this team; we’re committed to making day-to-day operations effortless. About the Role
Workday is looking for someone with passion, eager for knowledge and who loves getting stuff done. If you are motivated by technology and building intuitive useful applications in a fast paced, fun, agile work environment on an extraordinary team, this is for you!
Lead application development from deeply understanding user problems to deployment and maintenance
Coordinate automated testing during development and modify and test changes to previously developed applications
Explain technical concepts at a suitable level of abstraction to non technical colleagues
Continually think of new and creative ways to tackle problems that make our users’ lives easier
About You
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ Years of experience delivering technical solutions in software sales, services, engineering, or support
3+ years experience building low/no-code applications in Quickbase. Experience of other low-code applications highly desirable.
Other Qualifications:
Solid understanding of web service technology and protocols (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON)
Experience with developing applications and workflows in Smartsheet highly desirable
Experience with data transformation platforms like Mulesoft, Workato, Snaplogic, Zapier
Professional working knowledge of at least one mainstream scripting language like Python or Javascript
Highly curious about business/product operations effectiveness and efficiency- experience in optimizing and automating operations and processes is a plus
Proven awareness of and curiosity about emerging low-code tools
5+ years working with ERP solutions, relational databases, SaaS integration services, and integrating with enterprise software systems
Very strong team orientation - prioritizes and is motivated by team success, and collaborates positively with team members to build shared wins
Highly effective and proactive - always thinking about how to move things forward
Demonstrates passion for quality and productivity by using efficient development techniques, standards and guidelines.
Excellent persuasive presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
Collaborating with other teams to achieve organizational goals.
Demonstrable ability to work in an agile, fast paced continuous delivery environment, delivering work in small increments to get user feedback
A passion for innovation and ability to contribute to shaping the technical and product roadmaps.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
