Service Proposal Engineer

You will provide vital help to the PAPI P&P Service, Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI) to meet business needs efficiently and effectively, boosting customer satisfaction by performing all tasks to high quality standards, in line with relevant processes and guidelines. In this role you will help engage internal customers and drive efficient services in a variety of administrative areas.

Your responsibilities

• Work as part of a cross functional team to gather technical and commercial input in developing Service offerings that demonstrate the value for a customer’s site. Prepare complete and accurate customer proposals that clearly state the included scope of supply and make recommendations to develop the installed base
• Provide the Service Account Management staff with input and alternatives to best present and position ABB’s solution and offer to the customer
• Coordinate with the Service business development team to continually stay up to date on the Service offering strategy and products. Inform Service management of changes in product design and strategy that may impact Service’s ability to sell and deliver
• Develop and maintain standard estimating tools and proposal templates for most common requested offerings to increase customer responsiveness
• Review and analyze customer specifications to develop cost estimates that identify risks and costs associated with implementation of a project

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required and minimum 8 years experience required in an ABB System Engineering, Operations, Proposal Engineering or other similar position
• ABB 800xA, Master and Mod product knowledge and experience preferred
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
