Senior Product Owner - Collibra Data Catalog (M/F/D)

YOUR TEAM

The Vehicle and Cloud Platform is composed of products like the VW.OS, the next generation of in-vehicle SW platform, or the VW Automotive Cloud, a cloud platform dedicated to automotive online services. Moreover, it covers enabling technologies like data collection and management, updateability and digital lifecycle management of all vehicle software, connectivity solutions and mobile online services.

We develop the overarching data platform for vehicle data which is used for data driven product development in CARIAD and all brands of Volkswagen Group. With our unified data ecosystem, we empower our customers achieving value through outstanding data quality and performance. Therefore we offer vehicle data collections and sensor data ( e.g. camera, radar, gps data) from vehicles which we anonymize, before making it available for general consumption. We enable the data-driven development, perform data services and create data products that are used to improve all kinds of products. As team we support each other by sharing best practices, knowledge and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Be the one driving Collibra Data Catalog and responsible for designing the data management landscape around Collibra
• Define strategy for metadata management depending on the data platform and implementing metadata standards, automating data governance procedures and ensuring data accessibility across Azure platform
• Consult, concept and implement solutions in the Data Catalog environment and ensure that governance and compliance processes are addressed
• Play a central role in the design and implementation of data governance capabilities based on Collibra Platform
• Responsibile for the functional and technical engineering of governance requirements as well as it´s documentation
• Report project status as well as impediments to product managemenent level and relevant stakeholders
• Participate as active member in a SAFe oriented Large Solution

WHO YOU ARE

• Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science or comparable studies
• You have a passion for data topics, with a drive to create a great user experience for our internal customers
• Technical background with solid knowledge of data management and experience in compliance, data quality management, and product data management
• Experience with Collibra Data Catalog (or similar product) and advanced hands-on experience with deployment and configuration of the tool is required
• Knowledge of data governance practices and metadata management, as well as knowledge of the sensitivity levels and protection of data in relation to the GDPR in combination with data protection would be very helpful for this role
• Experience in the area of requirements engineering and agile software development, ideally lean agile methods (SAFe, LeSS etc.)
• Fluent English language skills (oral and written), German language skills are a plus
