Your role at zolar
The Tech team at zolar ensures that we create a customer-centric environment and a positive contribution to the climate. Our focus is to develop software that provides and enhances new - and in some cases previously untapped - opportunities for climate action and generates business value. Each of our development teams take full responsibility for a specific product, independently ensuring that the software is delivered quickly as well as functionally and completely.
Our tech stack at zolar consists of: PHP( Symfony ), MySQL, Kafka for the server side and TypeScript, React, Redux, node and React Native for our closs platform apps. Our cloud provider of choice is AWS and you might encounter AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, S3, etc.

Our digital products enable our customers directly, our installer partners or our internal teams to configure, buy, install and operate their solar projects.
As a Senior Mobile Engineer (f/m/x), you develop our iOS and Android mobile app. You will enable our customers to become energy independent and put the access to their own renewable energy into their hands, making the world of smart energy consumption actionable.
You will take on the following tasks at zolar:
- Design and implement directly user facing features in our cross-platform React Native app, together with your team.
- Ensure fail-safe releases with automated testing.
- Build, improve and deliver reusable and dynamic app components.
- Mentor others on best practices with excellent knowledge in TypeScript and React Native.
- Focus on fast and easy-to-maintain implementations that can grow
- Deliver reliable, well-tested and sustainable code.
- Work closely with your team of developers, your product owner, QA engineer and your entire zolar development team.
- Support your colleagues and be motivated to gain new knowledge and to share it within the team.
Your qualifications:
- You have at least 5 years' experience in software development.
- You have excellent knowledge of TypeScript and React Native and experience building mobile applications.
- You have a strong understanding of building and debugging of mobile applications with reusability, componentization and automated testing
- You are familiar with agile development practices (f.e. TDD, BDD, Pair Programming).
- You have a good sense for responsive cross-platform design.
- You are fearless towards browser and backend technologies (react, node.js, next.js, PHP)
