Job description

What You Will Do:

• Managerial responsibility: Take over planning, optimizing and controlling the results from materials & services to increase the EBIT in the area of responsibility
• Local procurement strategies (and project support): Initiate procurement processes, pinpoint approaches to problem-solving integration of various objectives to secure local objectives.
• Supplier management
  Source, select, evaluate, and develop key local suppliers on a cross-functional team basis to ensure the highest level of demand coverage and to achieve common cost objectives from the outset.
• Planning and controlling
  Derive team/individual goals (budget, target/actual) from plant goals under expected market conditions to measure, monitor, report, and coach overall results based on cross-functional teams, procurement department, and employees.
• Commercial responsibility
  Perform commercial tasks, in particular ensuring the ordering process and contractual agreements with suppliers within the framework of applicable laws and regulations, in order to ensure economic success, efficient operation and compliance.
• Risk management and environment protection in procurement
  Evaluate the particular risks and market conditions in the course of business in order to avoid possible losses or prevent problems by taking appropriate measures.
• Human Resources Management: Select, manage, assess and promote our employees to ensure long-term corporate success.

Your Profile

As Local Procurement Lead, you are able to quickly establish a successful cooperation within an international environment. It is easy for you to push ideas to their full implementation and application. Moreover, you recognize opportunities and have a good sense for profitable ideas. Over this you remain aware of the big picture even in complex situations and make decisions despite uncertain circumstances.
Who You Are
An experienced Procurement Expert With:

• A technical, commercial or economic-technical oriented degree such as Business Administration or Industrial Engineering with focus on Procurement / Logistics / Supply Chain Management.
• At least 8+ years of working experience within procurement activities incl. managerial experience such as in leading and developing teams.
• Proven Procurement expertise in the respective categories such as Production, Quality and / or Logistics.
• Demonstrated strategic sourcing skills, particularly negotiation, commercial agreements and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to build sustainable high-level relationships both internally and externally and influence others.
• Strong multi-cultural and interpersonal skills including cross-functional teamwork
• Intermediate knowledge of the semiconductor industry and its customers.
• Strong communication skills in English with added advantage in German.

The role of Senior Director Local Procurement is a position of trust at Infineon Technologies AG. For this reason, Infineon is required under the German Corporate Control and Transparency Act (KonTraG) to identify and minimize potential human risks to avert damage to the company.
