Job description

In your new role you will:

• Act as an interdisciplinary business function to manage facilities and ensure the optimal utilization of IFX facilities in accordance with the law and environmental demands.
• Operate and manage Facilities Operations and provide strategic direction for the Facilities Department.
• Manage Facilities Expense and Capital budgets
• Interact with Fab Management and Infineon Corporate leaders on Facilities related problems and projects.
• Lead a team of Facilities Managers to bring about accomplishments that align with Fab goals.
• Cooperate with Business Continuity and Environmental Safety and Health on initiatives and projects.
• Participate in Facilities Management leadership actions to align and advance the Facilities systems and performance.
• Oversee the site Chemical dispense, Ultra-Pure Water, Bulk and Cylinder gas, Central Utility Building, electrical distribution, and Site Building Maintenance operations.
• Manage Facilities projects and Fab tool installations. Has a high understanding of building, fire, and safety codes.
• Represent the Austin site at utility, governmental, and city of Austin meetings and functions.
• Lead directives to maintain the sites office spaces, furniture, landscaping, and contracted services.
• Perform sound vendor management with multiple service providers.
• Maintain the fab cleanroom operations including knowledge for particle monitoring, airborne molecular contaminates, and cleanroom characterizations
• Plan, controls and directs real estate, property and asset activities.
• Use problem solving skills to resolve difficult problems or problem with broad implications.

• Control resources and policy formation in area of responsibility
• Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives
• Look beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems
• Manage large, potentially diverse teams of managers and/or senior professionals
• Provide input to functional or departmental strategy.
• Align engineering and technical talents to accomplish the sites goals and initiatives.
• Identify applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or adequate occupational experience. Possessing a Professional Engineering License is a plus.
• Advanced degree in Engineering field, Engineering Management, or a Semiconductor field is a plus.
• 15 years of direct experience Managing a Semiconductor site Facilities team or 20 years managing a high purity operation and utilities.
• 10+ years of leadership and management experience of an engineering team or site operations team.
• Knowledge of Semiconductor utilities, Facilities systems, and Fab and Fab tool requirements, Facilities design.
• Strong computer and presentation skills.
• A leader with strong written and oral communication skills.
