We are looking for a committed Senior Business Analyst/ Application Support - Aviation/ Airlineto support global projects to digitalize our airlines. Our projects with the Crew Management, Airline Quality & Safety Management teams are part of DPDHL’s Strategy 2025 “Delivering excellence in a Digital world”.
Get ready to assume an analyst role, guiding functional teams across the globe and supporting teams for airlines spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. In this capacity, you will contribute to the analysis, testing, and implementation of tools that drive value creation and enhance the experiences of both colleagues and customers. You will also provide day-to-day 3rd line Application Support for the Crew Management and Quality & Safety Management portfolio.
This role reports to the Airline Programs Manager and is based in Diegem, Belgium.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- Be part of the Airline center of excellence with detailed knowledge of the people, functions and end-to-end processes as well as the various systems and tools used across the DHL transport network
- Working at a global level you will support functional and technical experts from all levels of the organization in describing, implementing and supporting systems
- Intervene as 3rd line Application Support in the areas of Crew Management and Quality & Safety management
- Investigate, analyze, and validate user (change) requests under supervision of the Product Manager
- Liaise closely with expert users, IT functions and 3rd party suppliers
- Sufficient understanding of aviation to be able to coordinate and champion change, recognizing the regulatory background and inherent complexity in a multi-airline environment
- You will prepare the implementation of new customizations, functions and modules and support each project stage through Analysis, Design, Testing and Implementation where you:
- Can articulate and write unambiguously about processes, functional requirements and application integration requirements
- Prepare and execute test cases and test scenarios as well as the data required for the test execution
- Co-ordinate business line managers and IT colleagues in their tasks
- Support end-user training and implementation coordination across the globe
Do you have what it takes?
- In the possession of a Master degree or have equivalent industry experience; a background with Flight Operations and/or Ground Operations is preferable
- Knowledge of Crew Management and Quality & Safety Management applications such as AIMS and IQSMS is an asset
- You will receive internal software training to DHL application but previous Aviation knowledge is essential to understand user requirements and issues
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an analytical role, Application Support, project oriented or operational Aviation role
- You are a problem solver, able to think logically about data, systems and processes and bring together accurate coherent explanations/solutions
- You have coordination skills which involves the ability to listen and act with limited oversight to bring the correct involved parties into play at the right time
- You are able to communicate fluently in English (spoken and written) in a clear and concise manner at various levels of the organization
- Excellent PC skills and IT aptitude including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products
